Sometimes the people we like and trust in positions of authority ignore conflicts of interest or enter into uncommercial arrangements which are breaches of school registration requirements. In some cases, there is brazen fraud and theft.
Joining us will be forensic accounting experts Thomas Caldow and Rebecca Carfi from Grant Thornton Australia, who will guide you through case studies based on real life cases they have worked on involving financial misappropriation and misconduct in the education sector.
Their team investigates concerns and identifies areas of high potential risk and seek to close those gaps, identifying any wrongdoing along the way, as well as opportunities for systemic improvement to avoid recurrence.
Attendees will receive a practical understanding of high-risk areas for financial misappropriation and misconduct within the sector.
