Lachlan McKenzie is a Practice Leader in the Private Clients Team at Moores and heads up the Estate Administration and Litigation Team
Lachlan’s expertise lies in resolving complex disputes relating to wills, trusts and estates and in assisting families to transition wealth to the next generation. A range of clients including individuals, trustee companies and charities rely on Lachlan’s advice and representation.
In addition to a law degree, Lachlan also obtained a degree in Behavioural Science, which assists his understanding of the complex relationships and motives that often underlie estate disputes.
In the 2024 Doyle’s Guide, Lachlan was identified by his peers as a ‘Preeminent’ lawyer in ‘Wills & Estates Litigation’ and as a ‘Recommended’ lawyer in ‘Wills, Estates and Succession Planning’.
As an Accredited Specialist in Wills & Estates and a leader in his field, Lachlan knows the relevant law – but it’s his ability to ‘cut to the chase’, to remain exceptionally cool in a crisis and to achieve successful outcomes that his clients appreciate the most.
Why Moores?
"It’s the vibe of the thing. But it’s also the ability to do rewarding and selective work, for clients and referrers who get what we’re about, alongside a team of specialists with the freedom to focus on ‘doing good’."
