A change in the federal government this year was always going to mean changes to the workplace relations framework. We have seen immediate changes and the momentum to make more significant changes.
What does it mean for employers now?
Come and join us to learn more about what may be coming our way and why it is important to start planning now. Some of the changes flagged include:
- Multi-employer bargaining (currently not a feature of the legislation)
- Improving flexibility options for employers and employees
- Changes to the BOOT for agreement approvals
- Access to more support for bargaining
- The sunsetting of ‘Zombie’ enterprise agreements (older enterprise agreements that are well past their nominal expiry date).
These changes will impact a range of sectors including aged care, social and community welfare, early childhood, health, manufacturing and education and there are steps that can be taken now to get ready.
The session will also cover the Respect at Work reforms, and provide guidance on what the sex discrimination and harassment reforms mean for employers in practice.
